Few other sports demand as much out of a player physically than does tennis. An average point lasts between 3-7 seconds with 4-5 direction changes and sprints up to 30 ft at a time, putting a severe load on the ATP -pc energy system. A 25-second recovery period in between points over 2-4 hours taxes both aerobic conditioning and muscular endurance as well. Reaching for wide balls, lunging for low volleys and jumping for overheads requires great power and flexibility. Clearly, to be a competitive tennis player, a properly designed, tennis specific, training program is essential. Each program prescription is individually designed to improve your tennis fitness. The key to transforming effort into success is following a training regime that will enhance existing strengths and diminish identified weaknesses by setting and executing performance goals.

We use the USTA testing protocol consisting of tests for aerobic and anaerobic capacity, strength, power and muscular endurance, agility, speed and flexibility. Once your individual strengths and weakness have been established, we will write a training program tailored specifically to your goals and competitive schedule. This along with your results from the Mind of Steele program will give the most up to date, state of the art training package available anywhere at any price! For the price of a few lessons you can maximize your performance and take your game to the next level. Contact us for more information on how to make you a better player.
