7. What is a Brain Type Assessment?

Well have you ever wondered why you do the things you do, where your habits and patterns started? Do you wonder if the great champions of sport were made or born? Do you wonder why some athletes seem to come up their best performances in the most pressure packed situations, while others cant seem to live up to all the hype. The answers to these questions may lie in the revolutionary concept of Brain Typing.

Brain typing was discovered about 30 years ago by a San Diego sport scientist and is based on Dr. Carl Jung's theory of personality type; there are 16 different and unique brain types. Each person has only one of the 16, and it's an inborn, genetically predisposed wiring that directly relates to both mental and motor skills. Each brain type not only has inherent and specific mental proficiencies but physical ones as well.

In other words, by identifying how our brains are "wired," we can determine why we behave as we do and where our aptitudes lie. If we understand the way our brains are wired it allows us to maximize our strengths, neutralize our weaknesses, and can be used to guide us in the direction of our goals.

Though Brain Typing is on the cutting edge for the scientific world, it can be simply understood and applied by the layperson. Not only can Brain Typing provide greater insight into an athlete than any other method, it can provide easy and specific steps for optimal sport performance. The knowledge you'll gain from your Brain Type assessment will allow you to work with your own strengths to achieve positive results more quickly than you ever thought possible. Doctors and scientists are claiming Brain Typing to be the greatest psychological advance in forty years. Brain Typing is a breakthrough you can use to sharpen your own mental and physical skills. You'll discover the traits that will allow you to perform at your peak.

By taking a simple test provided in this program, you can open a whole new world of performance enhancement and be on the way to achieving your athletic dreams.

8. What is a Learning Style Inventory?

The Learning Style Inventory will give coaches and players one of the most valuable pieces of information an athlete can have. Which is, what learning style do you use to assimilate information, by sight, by feel, or by sound? This short test will tell you what your preferred mode of learning is.

Individuals rely on different sensory modes to help them learn. Some rely heavily on their sense of sight, others on their sense of hearing, and still others on their sense of touch. A student's learning style is the sensory channel through which information is processed most efficiently. The principal modalities are visual, auditory, and kinesthetic.

The visually-preferred learner will ask to be shown how to accomplish a task. When directions are clear, this learner may respond with, "Oh, now I see."

An auditory learner will listen to directions and proceed readily. In conversation the auditory learner may respond with, "I hear what you are saying." or "I hear you."

The kinesthetic learner may be fidgeting, playing with a racket or club while directions are given. In order to absorb the material presented, the kinesthetic learner has to get right into the process. Upon understanding, the kinesthetic learner may respond with, "I've got the feel of it."

9. What is a Mental Toughness Index?

The Mental Tough Index tests 8 of the most crucial areas of sport psychology. These attributes include imagery and visualization, confidence, energy control, concentration, motivation, handling pressure, attitude, and resiliency. Each of these psychological traits contribute to an athletes overall mental toughness.

All sports require that physical skills be honed to a fine edge to succeed but it is not only about ability and talent. Mental toughness is a key component to performance excellence. This index will give you an assessment of your strengths and weakness in the mental/emotional toughness arena with practical recommendations on how to improve in each important area.

10. What is BPD?

Body Part Dominance is the particular side of the body that tends to naturally dominate the opposite side. This can be seen with the right-handed person using the greater dexterity and strength of that dominant hand to write, throw, and hit the tennis ball. "We typically refer to the side of the dominant hand to distinguish right-handers from left-handers. But, like the hands, other body parts such as the eyes, the shoulders, the pelvis and the feet are characterized by a right or left preference."
